Western Lacrosse Association Releases Playoff Schedule
Adanacs & Salmonbellies to Battle for Mann Cup Berth!
Saturday August 9, 2025
Burnaby, BC – The Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) has finalized the schedule for the championship round, with the winner hosting the Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) champions from Ontario for the 2025 Mann Cup Canadian Sr. A Championship.
The Coquitlam Adanacs will take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies in a best-of-seven match-up beginning Tuesday August 12th at the Poirier Rec. Centre, in Coquitlam.
In the 4th and deciding game, the New Westminster Salmonbellies beat the Victoria Shamrocks 12 - 6 at the Q Centre Thursday, while the Coquitlam Adanacs closed their series against the Maple Ridge Burrards in game four 10 - 7 Friday night at Cam Neely Arena. “The Adanacs have had a great turnaround season, so the final series should be a great one between two traditional rivalries”, said WLA Commissioner, Paul Dal Monte.
The winner of the WLA final series will advance to the Mann Cup Championship against the eventual MSL champion from Ontario starting on Friday, September 5th.
Note that playoff overtime rules are in effect. If a game is tied after regulation time, there will be a two-minute break, followed by a ten-minute overtime period. If the game is still tied, there will be a two-minute intermission, followed by a twenty-minute sudden death overtime period.
