WLA ANNOUNCES COACH OF THE YEAR, INSPIRATIONAL & UNSUNG PLAYER, AND SPORTSMANSHIP & VOLUNTEER AWARDS
COACH OF THE YEAR
Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to present the 2022 Coach of the Year Award to Nanaimo Timbermen
Head Coach, Tewanee Joseph. In Joseph’s first year as head coach, he led the Nanaimo Timbermen to a 12-6 record, giving them the third overall seed going into the 2022 playoffs.
INSPIRATIONAL & UNSUNG
Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to present the Inspirational and Unsung Hero Award to both Gabe Procyk of the Maple Ridge Burrards, and Jason Jones of the New Westminster Salmonbellies. This award is given to the player judged to be valuable and inspirational, yet approaches his role quietly; the league’s “Unsung hero”.
VALUE, VOLUNTEERISM, & SPORTSMANSHIP
Burnaby, BC – Awarded annually to the player best displaying value to his team, volunteer
assistance to minor lacrosse, and good sportsmanship, this year’s award goes to Keegan Bell, of the Langley Thunder and to John Hofseth of the Coquitlam Adanacs.
