WLA ANNOUNCES DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND OUTSTANDING GOALTENDER GOALTENDER OF THE YEAR

Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to announce the winner of the 2022 Goaltender of the Year Award to Christian Del Bianco of the Coquitlam Adanacs. Christian led the league with an outstanding Save Percentage of 84% and an Average Goals Against of 8.7 goals per game.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to present the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year Award to Adam Weidemann of the Nanaimo Timbermen and Drew Belgrave of the New Westminster Salmonbellies. Aside from a dominant force on the defensive end of the floor, Adam posted 10 goals and 16 assists in 14 games. Drew’s athletic ability to make big plays on defense and contribute to transitioning the ball on offense made him a force to be reckoned with this season.
